As 2016 comes to a close, and 2017 fast approaches, I wanted to take a moment to talk about the new website changes and the new focus of my creative endeavors.
Over the last several years, my focus has been on painted digital illustration and selling my designs at print on demand companies like Zazzle and Cafepress. While I will still have my old work on those sites for purchase, moving forward, I will be trying to grow my own brand here, on karynlewis.com, which I hope will become a hub and showcase for all the types of art and handcrafts that I enjoy creating. In the coming months, this site will not only host my portfolio, but a shop where you can directly buy prints and other creations from me directly.
Additionally, I have changed my creative course, and am no longer focusing on digital painting, but I am going back to my artistic roots. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in drawing, and my work moving forward, will focus on the art of drawing.
This change has already revitalized me, and I’ve been hard at work creating coloring books, graphic novels and more. For the first time in a long time, art has become fun again.
Additionally, I have also created a Patreon page that will also feature more of my behind the scenes work, and I will be making weekly (and sometimes daily) videos on YouTube. Often you can watch me livestreaming my drawing sessions. I hope you will consider becoming a patron or a subscriber.
Thanks for following me over the years. I can’t wait to see what 2017 brings. 🙂
